Water From Within
I lived for a month in the Turkana region of Kenya during a drought that had lasted for years. Everything was dead, dying, or drying up. Animals. Crops. Hope.
So I prayed for rain. I stared up at the sky day after day praying and believing that God would send rain to that land. I carried around my rain jacked everywhere as a symbol of my faith. It never rained.
Years later I found an article announcing the discovery of five large aquifers underground, wells containing 66 trillion gallons of water just underneath the Turkana desert sand.
I had spent weeks staring up at the sky wondering why God wasn't moving when all along the water was just beneath my feet.
Just because God isn't moving the way you hope or expect doesn't mean He's not moving. Maybe you just need to look the other way.
