*Peter and I delivered our first baby girl, Imogen Dorothy, on June 14, 2019. We found out the day before (at 40 weeks 6 days) that she no longer had a heartbeat, and delivered her stillborn one week past her due date. We are devastated. There are no words to describe the depth of our pain and grief. And, yet, we know this is not the end of the story. Our hope is in the Lord. We will not be shaken.

I am accepting a limited number of speaking requests this fall and spring. The content of my messages will be built around the hope that we have in light of eternity - even in our present suffering. If that is a message that would resonate with your group, I’d love to share about God’s goodness (and nearness) to us in our pain and loss. It will be raw and real and fresh. Some might wonder if it is too soon. I’ve wondered that myself. But we often wait to share our stories until they have come full circle. While I hope and pray that I will one day see how God has used Imogen’s short life, I don’t want to wait until I understand to testify to His goodness. He is not only good when this makes sense. He is not only good when we see His redemption. He is not only good if He gives us another child. He is good now. In the middle of our grief and mourning.
